Privacy notice: We protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). When you register on this page, you provide limited personal information which is displayed in the registration form below. This information allows us to provide you with access to the consultations that are of interest to you and helps us to ensure that your feedback is received (there may be restrictions on providing feedback multiple times for the same consultation topic).
You can choose whether to opt in for any additional level of contact with us, now, or after registering. When consultation timeframes close, the information you provided for a particular topic will be accessed in a de-identified summary report format (unless otherwise specified).
If you elect to receive Commission newsletter/updates, we will collect your contact information to keep you informed of our latest publications and news. We use secure, external online database service providers to store your details and send you our eNews:
- Campaign Monitor, is an Australian-based company that stores information on servers located in the United States. By agreeing to receive newsletters and updates from the Commission, you also agree to the storage, handling and transmission of your personal information by Campaign Monitor. Please see Campaign Monitor’s privacy policy for further information. You also agree that APP 8.1 will not apply to this disclosure and that you will therefore not be able to seek redress under the Privacy Act should the service provider handle your personal information in breach of the APPs.
- Darzin is an Australian company that provides us with a stakeholder management service via Simply Stakeholder. Darzin stores your information on Australian servers and is subject to the Privacy Act. Please see the Simply Stakeholder privacy statement for further information.
We will not otherwise disclose your personal information to anyone unless you consent, or we are required or authorised by law to do so.
