Blueprint for Mentally Healthy Workplaces

The Blueprint for Mentally Healthy Workplaces, Release 2, aims to define a vision of mentally healthy workplaces that can be shared by all organisations and businesses across Australia. It also defines the core principles and focus areas for creating environments that protect, respond, and promote to support mental health at work.

The Blueprint has been developed as part of the National Workplace Initiative, which aims to create a nationally consistent approach to mentally healthy workplaces.

The Blueprint has been developed in consultation with the Mentally Healthy Workplace Alliance, the National Workplace Initiative Frameworks Working Group, and wide networks of people and organisations passionate about creating mentally healthy workplaces.

Release 2 of the Blueprint incorporates a range of feedback we received from individuals and organisations in the business, unions, government, workplace health and mental health sectors.

We thank everyone who provided their input.

Share your feedback to inform Release 3

This Blueprint is a living document that will be further refined over time. We are seeking feedback from a wide range of organisations, businesses, unions, government agencies, professional associations, service providers and the mental health and workplace health sectors to shape the next iteration of the Blueprint.

We want to understand which elements of the Blueprint are working well, and where it can be further improved.

Feedback can be provided through the survey below, uploading a response or by emailing the National Workplace Initiative team.

Feedback on Release 2 will be open until 31 March 2023.
